The Aero Neuchatel offered here is in very nice condition. The sporty "Monte Carlo" chronograph dates from the early 1970s and is characterized by a "race blue dial" with a sunburst finish (sunburst effect) and cream-colored "subdials" (totalizers) in "mint condition". The inner tachymeter ring has not faded and is still sharp. Hour and minute hands are white. The chronograph seconds hand was used in bright "signal orange". The hands of the totalizers are red. The luminous color of the indices and hands can only be seen faintly. All parts are still original.
The watch shows no signs of wear. There are no deep scratches, dents or similar, the glass is scratch-free. Technically, the Aero Neuchatel works perfectly. The chronograph function is flawless. Matching the blue electroplated dial
The chronograph is equipped with a polished stainless steel case and a Plexiglas cover glass. The floor is made of stainless steel. The chronograph is equipped with the Valjoux 7734 caliber, which was also used in the legendary Tudor race chronograph Ref.7169. Sporty Nato strap in Monte Carlo style.
Since 1910 and thus more than 100 years, the independent family company Aéro Watch SA (proper spelling AEROWATCH) has been creating Swiss watchmaking art and was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in western Switzerland.
Headquartered in Neuchatel since 1935, Aéro Watch was already exporting its products to more than 15 countries in the 1930s. After taking over a clock factory, the family specialized in the manufacture of pocket and pendulum clocks. The son Georges Crevoisier expanded the distribution to over 30 countries in the 1960s and the company became known all over the world. The current company headquarters have been in Saignelegier (canton of Jura) since 2008.
