Technically, the BWC works flawlessly and has been recently overhauled: (287°; +3s/d).
In 1924 Arthur Charlet founded the Buttes Watch Co. in Switzerland.
The manufacturer followed trends in the watch industry early on: the production of wristwatches began as early as 1930 and of wristwatch chronographs since 1938. Movements from Lemania, Landeron and Valjoux were used. With "Wehrmachtsuhren" the highest quality standards were met.
With its international expansion, BWC Swiss has become one of the most important and successful Swiss chronograph manufacturers. As early as the 1920s, Germany and the first German importer in the watch and gold city of Pforzheim were among the most important sales markets. This led to the takeover of the brand by the Pforzheim Starck watch brand in 2003, with production continuing in Switzerland. Since 2006, the distribution rights for Germany have belonged to the company Carl Engelkemper from Münster. Today the brand stands for almost 100 years of watchmaking tradition since 1924.
