·       Founded in 1888 in Lucerne, the Bucherer family business built a jeweler operation that developed into the world's largest watch and jewelry retail chain.

·       Since the 1920s, there has been a particularly close partnership with Rolex, which remains influential to this day.

·       In 2024, the takeover by Rolex took place.

#2 Own Watch Manufacture: Carl F. Bucherer

·       As early as 1919, Bucherer began making its own watches – initially watches for women, featuring its own dial logo.

·       The watch brand Carl F. Bucherer has officially existed since around 2001 and today has a complete watch manufacture.

#3 Technical Innovations: Peripheral Mechanics

·       In 2008, Bucherer was the first company to produce automatic movements with a external (peripheral) rotor, allowing an unobstructed view of the inner workings

·       Later came the peripheral tourbillon – a “floating” tourbillon.

·       In 2014, the Manero PowerReserve was equipped for the first time with an invisible but laser-permanent signature that makes counterfeiting more difficult.
