WHO ARE YOU, WHAT DO YOU DO?

I'm a copywriter and creative director. I think up advertising campaigns, write text for websites, design videos.

OPTIONATA'S WRIST CHECK: WHICH WATCH ARE YOU WEARING TODAY?

My great-grandfather's approx. 120-year-old pocket watch. Not on my wrist, but in my heart. I take them out on special occasions. It works perfectly.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HER?

There's something rustic, alpine about it that I've always been drawn to. And it carries a story that I unfortunately can no longer fully explain. There is no one left alive who could tell me. Which gives her a very special magic.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST REAL WATCH AND WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND?

For my confirmation, my grandmother gave me a stainless steel watch with a digital display. I believe it was a Seiko. That part was really hip at the time. Hey, and this from my grandma! Damn it, where is she? I mean the clock.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU USE ANALOGUE? OTHER ANALOG TICKS?

I treat myself to a newspaper once a week. No digital edition, but actually printed. A celebration for me.

WHAT DRIVES YOU?

The desire to create. To create something new. Deep down in my limbic system, it's definitely about recognition.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?

There used to be a slogan for Lego bricks: "Every day a new toy." That's pretty much what my job is like for me: always different. I love that.

WHICH TOPICS ARE YOU PARTICULARLY MOVING?

In the face of great challenges, people are in the process of finding themselves or rediscovering themselves. It's about nothing but identity. Richard Precht summed it up impressively in his essay “Artificial Intelligence and the Meaning of Life”.

WHAT TRENDS DO YOU SEE FOR OUR FUTURE?

The end of permanent self-optimization. And a new way of doing business that is not defined by growth. Even if the idea is certainly not new.

WHICH CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU APPRECIATE PARTICULARLY IN A PEOPLE?

Then when it is important to be able to count on this person. A typical German virtue. And if he makes me laugh.
