1 Double signature Tiffany and Movado design objects treated

Many of these watches were made by Movado but also bore the inscription "Tiffany & Co." on the dial. At that time, Tiffany sold watches from various top manufacturers under its own name.

An original Tiffany signature often increases collector value. 

2 Movado as a top manufacturer

From the 1930s to the 1960s, Movado was among the technically leading Swiss manufacturers.

Known features:

• very high-quality manual winding movements
• elegant cases
• excellent craftsmanship
• numerous proprietary calibers

Especially sought after are, for example:

• Caliber 90M
• Caliber 95M
• Caliber 125
• various chronograph movements

These movements are considered robust and finely crafted. 

3 Tiffany was not a manufacturer

Tiffany & Co. commissioned watches from renowned manufacturers, including:

• Patek Philippe
• Vacheron Constantin
• Movado
• occasionally other Swiss manufacturers

As a result, Tiffany watches combine the quality of the manufacturer with the exclusivity of the retailer.

4 Rarity

Tiffany sold significantly fewer watches than the manufacturers themselves produced.

Therefore, original Tiffany-Movado watches are much rarer today than comparable Movado models without the Tiffany signature.
