Technically, the Omega works perfectly and has recently been overhauled: (302°; +9s/d).
The watch shows hardly any signs of wear. There are no deep scratches, dents, etc., the glass is scratch-free.
Omega SA was founded in Switzerland in 1848 and is now a subsidiary of the Swatch Group based in Biel.
Founded in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds to produce watch parts with the brand name “Louis Brandt”, the name Omega first appeared in 1894 for a newly developed watch caliber. To date, the company has developed many innovative watches and models that are now known worldwide Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster and De Ville.
Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and stands for exceptional quality and metaphorically for “perfection”. As one of the highest quality brands in the world, the brand has many fans and the recognition of professionals for building watches for specific applications such as sports, pilot and professional diving watches.
At the Summer Olympics, Omega has been the official timekeeper for all Olympic disciplines since 1932 in Los Angeles through London 2012 and Rio 2016. In space travel, the Omega Speedmaster Professional was selected by NASA as the official astronaut watch to this day, including for the Apollo 11 mission, making it the first watch worn on the moon. For fans of James Bond films, there has been a regular reunion since 1995, the start of Omega's official sponsorship of the films - from 'Golden Eye' in 1995 to 'Casino Royale' in 2006.
In the line-up of well-known brand ambassadors we see Michael Schumacher, George Cloonery and Cindy Crawford. Several special Speedmaster models were even created for Michael Schumacher.
